MY HUSBAND DAVID, WAS STATIONED IN CHAINGMAI IN 1970, DURING THE VIETNAM WAR, AT YOUR FINE AIRPORT AND I AT THE TIME BEING A NEWLY WED AND RECENTLY OUT OF THE SERVICE MYSELF MANAGED TO STAY IN THAILAND FOR THE FULL YEAR. ONE OF MY MOST MEMORABLE EVENINGS WAS GOING TO THE PUB AND HAVING FISH AND CHIPS, IT WAS LIKE BEING HOME AGAIN, THERE WERENT MANY WESTERN RESTAURANTS IN CHAING MAI AT THE TIME AND IT FELT LIKE HOME AND 40 YEARS LATER I STILL REMEMBER IT ENOUGH TO LOOK YOU UP! UNFORTUNATELY DAVID DIED IN 1992 BUT THE MEMORY LIVES ON IN MY HEART, THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES. SUSAN PRESTON, KINGSTON, RHODE ISLAND, USA

We stayed at The Pub over the Songkran Festival as part of our honeymoon. The bungalows were clean and nicely furnished with a little veranda at the front. We had great superb service, Grahame and his staff were more than happy to help in anyway they could. We arranged a couple of trips through them and even got a bacon sarnie to take on a trip when we were picked up at 6.30am!! Thanks for a great stay!

We stayed a week in feb this year, this place have been recommended by some friends...best advice they ever gave us.
Graham is a lovely guy, very laid back and frienly, you feel welcome from the day you book till the day you leave.
Barbara his daughter is a gem, she would help us with anything from waxing (for Liz) to trek shoes for me, including the trekking and all
the staff is discret and nice, the cleaning lady doesnt speak english so she communicate with smiles, the guy doing the garden is lovely too...
we loved every minut of our stay, the bungalows are great, i would really recommend this place to any traveller in Chiang Mai..

IT GOES WITHOUT SAYING,THAT EVERYONCE IN A WHILE, YOU FIND SOMETHING THAT YOU HAVE TO TELL OTHERS ABOUT,THIS IS THE CASE WITH THE PUB. THIS GUEST FRIENDLY BUNGALOW TYPE ACCOM IS IN MY OPINION THE BEST DEAL YOU WILL FIND
IN THIALAND, ALLRIGHT,YOU MAY FIND CHEAPER,BUT YOU WON,T GET THE SAME
PRIVACY, CLEANINESS,AND ON TAP SERVICE
THAT THIS JOINT HAS,PLUS THE STAFF MAKE THE JOINT,FIRSTLY THE BIG FELLOW
WITH THE POMMIE ACCENT GRAHAME,NOT A BAD BREAKFAST COOK GOOD DRINKER AND
OVERALL NICE BLOKE 10/10 HIS STAFF BEHIND THE BAR ARE GEM,S THE GIRLS ARE REAL SWEET HEART,S AND THE YOUNG FELLOW IS OVERALL A VERY NICE YOUNG
BLOKE.THE TUCKER FROM THE KITCHEN
IS WORTH EVERY PENNY AND I LOVED EVERY
BIT OF IT.SOME SPECIALS TOO.IF YOU WANT TO CATCH SOME SPORTING SHOW,S
THE TV IN THE BAR IS BIG AND FOR THE PRICE OF A FEW BEER,S ANYTHING POSSIBLE
(i watched A.F.L.from melbourne)
THE GOOD THING ABOUT THIS PLACE IS IF YOU COME WITH SOMEONE, THAT,S GREAT
BUT IF COME ALONE, YOU CAN FIND SOMEONE
AND YOU CAN COME BACK ANYTIME,NO CURFEW
OR RAISED EYE BROWS ,GET OVER IT IS THIER MOTTO. IT,S JUST AN OVERALL GREAT PLACE TO STAY.I WENT FISHING FOR GIANT CATFISH AND HAD A GREAT TIME. SEE GRAHAME ,HE WILL ARRANGE IT. IN FACT HIS GREAT LOOKING DAUGHTER
CAN ARRANGE ANYTHING,JUST SAY THE WORD
TAXI SERVICE IS AVAILABLE AND ANY REQUEST IS TREATED NICELY AND GETS DONE
THEY HAVE A "CAN DO" ATTITUDE.I LOVE THE LAUNDRY GIRL, SHE IS A STUNNER,
her name is joy )SHE DOSENT KNOW MUCH
ENGLISH ,BUT UNDERSTANDS A DUMB AUSSIE OK, I WILL SPEND THE NEXT YEAR TELLING EVERYONE ABOUT THIS PLACE,IBOOKED 6 MONTH IN ADVANCE AND I AM GLAD I DID, BUT SOME TIMES THIER IS A VACANCY
IF YOU COME IN AND SEE THE BOSS MAN
IF YOU DON,T GET A ROOM ,STAY FOR A BEER AND SOME GOOD TUCKER, AS ARNIE
SAID I,LL BE BACK bigjon

I wanted this to be my secret, but The Pub Bungalows are a mid-range gem. In fact, if you take advantage of the monthly rates they are a budget gem. I stayed for November and found a home from home in Chiang Mai. The old town is attractive but I love the Nimman area to the west of the city. Here every leafy soi reveals bars, restaurants and coffee shops, but it was always relaxing to return to the quiet and privacy of The Pub grounds. Grahame was unfailingly helpful, and if you're very good he and his wife Tong will direct you to some Thai fine dining at Rincome intersection - a meal to remember. With pick-ups and drop-offs from Barbara and the best laundry service in Thailand from the delightful Joy it's quite a package. There, I've done it - they'll probably be full next year but they deserve it.

What a great place to stay. Graham and his family and staff are all wonderful and make you feel very welcome. The bungalows are perfect, clean with good a/c and wifi. The breakfast and food generally were first class and the bar has a great choice of well kept beers. The location is also great, a short distance from the centre but right next to the best area of Chiang Mai. All in all a great place to stay and i would highly recommend it

The bungalows are clean, comfotable and tasteful. Graham and his family have a lot of local knowledge which they will share with you, making your visit to Chang Mai pleasurable and easy. Thank you
